Major League Baseball (MLB) New York Yankees ace Garrett Cole (32) is approaching the Cy Young Award for the first time since his debut.
MLB Dotcom announced the candidates for the 2023 Cy Young Award and their rankings through its own voting group. A total of 49 voters decided on the top five and gave differential scores (five points in the first place, four points in the second place, etc.).
Candidates for the American League Cy Young Award were Cole, Kevin Gausman (Toronto Blue Jays), Otani Shohei (LA Angels), Nathan Ivaldi (Texas Rangers), and Framber Valdez (Houston Astros).
